...Join chef Alec Maxfield ‘for a day in the life’ of a chef at East Anglia’s best food pub, The Swan at Felsted. Enjoy a day learning the tricks of the trade from one of Essex’s top cheffing talents.

With a pedigree that includes Heston Bleumenthal’s three Michelin starred Fat Duck at Bray and Hambleton Hall on Rutland Water, Alec’s kitchen at The Swan is full of enthusiasm and a passion for food.

     
    Programme for the day:
       
    10am arrival

Welcomed by Alec and his crew at The Swan. You will then be given a tour around the kitchen and issued with your chef whites for the day

    10.30am – 12.00pm

Preparation for the lunch time shift

    12.00pm – 3.00pm

Relish in the challenge of a busy lunch time shift

    3.00pm – 5.00pm

A well earned break and lunch with the crew!

    5.00pm – 6.00pm

Preparation for your evening menu

    6.00pm – 7.00pm

Let the cooking begin again...

    7.00pm

Reap the benefits of your hard work, enjoy a 3 course meal cooked by yourself with a guest of your choice

     
   

£195 per person including a meal for two guests in the evening. You are welcome to invite as many guests as you wish to join your table.
